In honor of precious Layla Grace and in an effort to try to help the Marsh family with their medical bills we have named the Layla Grace Hat.


We know Shanna, Layla's mom, because she reviewed a couple of our products on her blog, Baby Wears Prada, just before Layla became ill in 2009. One of the items she chose to review was our White w/ Pink Peony Crochet Hat.

So, we have decided to donate $5.00 from every Layla Grace Hat sold on-line to the Marsh family for all of 2010.

We will be sending the money to the family via PayPal Donations at the end of each month as the Layla Grace Hats are sold.

We read this post on Facebook and it weighed heavily on our hearts so we felt lead to act:

Our company, Simply faBOWlous®, is small but our entire staff has been praying for Layla since we heard the news about her battle with cancer. We only know Shanna, Layla's Mom, from her reviewing our flower hats & flower headbands on her Baby Wears Prada Blog. Our hearts and lives have truly been touched by her strength.

Wedding season is upon us. And we found a wonderful company, Classy Covers, based in Kansas City, MO that supplies chair cover and sash rental (including set-up and take down).


They promise to transform your event into a special occasion! And, of course they not only do weddings but also corporate, black tie, and charity events...You name it they "cover" it.

We would like to continue to support small businesses in the local area. We all have our favorite restaurants but when one happens to be a locally owned business, we have to spread the word.



Kate's Kitchen is located at 8002 North Oak Trafficway in Kansas City North (MO). They have decided to stick with what they do best by offering a wide variety of breakfast and lunch items. The variety includes omelets, sandwiches, french toast, pancakes, sandwiches, salads, and one of my favorites, eggs benedict. Of course, this list is just to name a few but feel free to check out their entire menu at Kate's Kitchen.

We also love "Kate's Story" and how the interactions that a family had with their little girl inspired this wonderful restaurant! They pride themselves in "providing the freshest ingredients every time, just the way you like them."

faBOWlous® Blessings in 2009

There is much to be thankful for in 2009.

Our first THANK YOU goes out to all of you, our faBOWlous® customers! It is truly a blessing that we ended this year the same as we did last year. Most companies want to see an increase of business and not have a "wash" so why are we excited that we ended the same in 2009 as we did in 2008....because we are in a recession which can be very scary for businesses. And, thanks to all of you, our customers, we did not have a loss this year.
Keep sending us those faBOWlous® photos, like the one above, of your little ones wearing our products. We just love them. See more in our Glitzy Photo Gallery.

A big THANK YOU to all moms that help make our products since our products are handmade by stay-at-home moms we could not do it without them. We also use other mom-preneurs when buying our raw materials, so we were able to help support their small businesses. We hope you will support your local boutiques and mom-preneur shops in 2010.

Of course we cannot forget to THANK our boutiques & shops. We are getting closer to our goal of offering our products in all 50 states. We now service 300 boutiques in 34 states so we only need 16 more states...2010 here we come! In addition we are now in 8 countries across the world.

Social Media proved to be big in 2009. Simply faBOWlous® joined Facebook & Twitter. So, another THANK YOU goes out to all of our fans & followers. To our amazement we have over 600 fans on Facebook and hope to hit our goal of 1,000 this year. We even created a Facebook Application so you can send CONGRATS to a friend who is having or recently had a baby. We adopted a great cause this year, the Bailey Baio Angel Foundation (BBAF). THANK YOU Renee Baio for championing such a worth while cause. Send Layla Grace a Birthday Card

We have been following this precious little girl on her journey with cancer, and we received this message from her mom today:

On November 16th, Layla Grace began a 6 week hospital stay to undergo a High Dose Chemotherapy with Autologus Stem Cell Rescue, more commonly known as a Bone Marrow Transplant. This is the 2nd phase in Layla's treatment plan as she fights Neuroblastoma.

Layla will turn 2 on Thanksgiving Day

Layla loves to receive cards. If you would like to send her birthday wishes, Texas Children's Hospital has a FREE card delivery service through their website, simply fill out a card and it will be delivered directly to her room.

Be sure to include her full name, Layla Marsh, on the form.

If you would like to send her balloons, they can be sent to Room 847. Please make sure they are mylar - her floor prohibits latex.

Please do not send stuffed animals or flowers - she is not allowed to have them in her room.

Recently we participated in a Silent Auction to help raise funds for a young mother of three who recently lost her husband in a plane crash along with two other family members.

We received an email from Niki Longo, with Little Binkins, about representing our product line...Stating:

"Little Binkins is the branch of our company that represents hip, new upscale brands for babies, tweens, and teens."

"I currently represent...in the Metro DC area; and a few fabulous brands recently launched in 2008 with territory in the Delaware, DC, Maryland, & Virginia."

We agreed to "terms" and sent "samples" to Niki Longo/Little Binkins.

12-8-08
Due to not having made one single sale and poor communication we decided that Niki Longo/Little Binkins was not a good fit for Simply faBOWlous.

We have a "read receipt" from an email sent to Niki Longo/Little Binkins informing her of our decision to end our agreement and asked for our "samples" to be returned.

Niki Longo/Little Binkins replied and here are some of the things she stated:

"I am so sorry for the lack of communication and am so embarrassed."

"I assure you that the samples are in perfect condition, as sent."

"Due to a variety of factors we haven't been able to present them to our retailers."

"I apologize for starting off on the wrong foot & hope we can re-establish a good working relationship."

Still not one sale had been made so we sent Niki Longo/Little Binkins an email stating that indeed our relation would need to come to an end and to please send us back our samples.

After getting no reply to email or phone calls we again sent Niki Longo/Little Binkins an email stating that indeed our relation would need to come to an end and to please send us back our samples.

We sent Niki Longo/Little Binkins an "invoice" via PayPal for $540 (the wholesale value) of our samples.

We informed Niki Longo/Little Binkins that we had contacted an attorney about the situation.

Niki Longo/Little Binkins sent us an email stating

"No need to spend the money on an attorney & filing fees."

To Date
Niki Longo/Little Binkins has not paid the invoice...has not made one sale...and now will not answer our emails or phone calls.


We are alerting Niki Longo/Little Binkins to this post and will let you know if she responds, returns our samples, or pays for the samples she currently has.
