Bailey Baio Angel: November 2009

Simply faBOWlous® is proud to be an Angel Sponsor of the Bailey Baio Angel Foundation® (BBAF), started by Scott & Renee Baio.

Each month a special child with a metabolic disorder is chosen to be the foundation's Angel.

Angel for November 2009
This month's Angel is Nikki. When Nikki was just 13 days old her family received the news that she had tested positive for Glutaric Aciduria Type 1 or GA-1. This early diagnosis resulted from additional newborn screening which cost $25 and required 3 drops of blood.

The additional newborn screening has allowed Nikki to develop into a "vivacious, healthy 12 year old girl."

The Mission
